You can only that on a GSM 3G phone like the Bold. So no on the 8900.

  2. MobileTechReview says:

We posted a message earlier about this: you will have to pay extra for the charging pod. See earlier comments for more details.

i am a 14 year old and i love classy phones (i love to text) and i am VERY organized!!!! would you recommend this for me?

    you do great reviews!!

  4. MobileTechReview says:

well, the phone is really great for any age if the features fit your needs.

  5. chococat88888 says:

“i love classy phones” has nothing to do with texting, so your syntax was inaccurate.

If you are mature and organized then don’t let anyone stop you from getting this phone because your age, but you get it just be articulate and poised.

Most blackberry users are that way and wouldn’t appreciate an obnoxious kid waving a grow-up phone around, and many kids do.

i wouldnt show the charging pod because its only for t-mobile and you have to pay extra for it. so people might get confused if its not on any other review.

and one more thing, does it cost money per month to use wifi?

  8. MobileTechReview says:

Yeah, we mentioned about this in earlier post. Please read the earlier post.

  9. MobileTechReview says:

For UMA calling yes, you pay a monthly fee. $10/mon. Please read our in-depth review of this phone on mobiletechreview

I thought uma calling was free.

My sis got the samsung t339 and she calls using wifi for free

    “waving a grow-up”

    Was also entirely inaccurate.

  12. chococat88888 says:

    that made no sense.

  13. chococat88888 says:

wow obviously I mean “grown-up” you fucking stingy fuck

  15. MobileTechReview says:

This is the third time posting about this: we posted in earlier posts that the package doesn’t include the desktop charger. Please read earlier posts.

  16. MobileTechReview says:

Here is the post about the Desktop Cradle again:

Sorry for the confusion. For some reason, RIM included the desktop cradle in our box. After checking with them again, they mentioned that the retail box doesn’t include the desktop cradle.

When you turn on wifi, does it automaticaly turn off edge, when you go on the web?

Also to turn off this device, do you go on the main menu to do it? And to turn it on you press the trak ball?

  25. MobileTechReview says:

When you turn on the Wi-Fi, it doesn’t turn the phone’s radio off, but it will use Wi-Fi for your data usage not EDGE as long as you are within Wi-Fi range.

To turn on/off the device, use the power/end button.
