i’ve noticed the crashing too, i think the software is buggy. i’ve been meaning to read through their bug tracking to figure it out. it was crashing at one point because my rom files had weird characters. but anytime it does crash, delete the configuration file and it’s good to go (/PALM/Programs/LJP/ljp.ini on your SD card) I actually keep a good config on hand in case the config gets corrupted and needs to be deleted, that way i never lose my settings, etc

Yeah its really buggy but they are working on the new ljp soon,

  4. Palmljp says:

Don’t use the key pad, it will only work on the main buttons like home and message.

    Hope that helps :D

don’t get me wrong, LJP’s gotta be the best app on the palm. :)

Where do you find games for it? Do I just download regular ROMS from anywhere?

palm centros run windows mobile now……right?

  8. metalbabbleDotCom says:

some of the treos do. (usually has the W in the model name) i don’t believe they make a centro with windows. i’ve only seen palm os models.

  9. metalbabbleDotCom says:

yeah, that’s what i like about LJP – it uses regular ROMs. (on a memory card) You don’t need a conversion program like NesEm had.

  10. Hustino07 says:

How do I get them on my card and why does my Centro reset after leaving the program?

  11. metalbabbleDotCom says:

The readme goes into good detail, but basically get a card reader for your computer and copy the roms into the appropriate folders on the sd card (/PALM/Programs/LJP/NES for nes games, for example) If it’s crashing – check the basics first. Make sure you’ve copied the .ZEM emulator files into the LJP folder. NES won’t play with out LJP-NES.ZEM, for instance. Lastly, the thing does crash on occasion. Get a program like FILEZ on there so you can copy or delete your config file (ljp.ini) as needed.

I have LJP running on my Palm Tungsten but it can’t play SNES games, and Game Boy games lag with sound enabled. I’m considering getting a Centro, but could you tell me if there are similar lag problems with the Centro? I really wanna try the Neo-Geo games, the SNES games, and so on.

  16. metalbabbleDotCom says:

Runs perfectly on the centro. I get the occasional crash but this is quickly resolved by deleting the config file. The only thing that lags slightly is some of the really graphic-intense games like yoshi-island, etc.

i recently installed the ljp app for my centro and i love it! but the snes games lag a bit and the sound doesnt work all the time. but they do play. all the nes/gameboy roms are legit tho

WHERE DO U DOWNLOAD THE GAME FILES???

  21. metalbabbleDotCom says:

Not sure if anybody answered this already, but for the person(s) looking for the actual games, they are just normal ROM files. The best advice I can give you on acquiring them is to do some quick research and googling. They are out there, but you need to look into their legal aspects as well. As far as the program, it’s LJP. You can find that easily through google too. Hope this helps you!
